White Night (The Dresden Files, #9)

White Night (The Dresden Files, #9) - Jim Butcher, James Marsters 4 Stars

Nine books into the series, I don't have much more to add than a few thoughts.

Again, the Butcher proves to be a master storyteller. He manages to spin a tale in Harry's world without retreading past storylines. In the novel we meet, as I have dubbed him, Harry the Philosophical. There is substantial discussion about the substance of human nature and the underpinnings and nature of magic. It made for a slower pace at times but I found it to be interesting.

White night goes back to the beginning of the series and allows Harry Dresden to be the PI and track down a supernatural killer. Far more "urban" fantasy than the previous novels.
